How to adopt a dog?

Our shelter is located in Lourinhã, 45 minutes from the capital Lisbon by the A8 motorway (you can rent a car at the airport).

We are open every day of the year from 11:30am to 1pm.

To adopt, you must bring your Passport with you, this is the documents necessary to fill out the Adoption Form. 

Adoption has a symbolic value of €30 to help the Association.

For a dog to be able to travel outside Portugal, adopters after adoption have to go get their international passport, which we can help with at a veterinarian (which includes vaccinations, deworming and travel certificate as well as chip registration)

If you want to take the dog by plane:

-You will have to make sure that the airline you travel transports animals and make a pre-booking where the cost of the trip is simulated.

- Buy a carrier suitable for the size of the dog. The cost of the trip will depend on the weight of the dog and the size of the carrier and will be charged on the day of travel at the airport Check-in.
